If a composer could say what he had to say in words he would not bother trying to say it in music. ~Gustav Mahler
If only we Indians knew how many people in our
country are trying to express themselves this way. 1.3 billion is our current
population, and India won all of 6 medals in the Olympics. Of course it was a
proud moment for all of us watching from the comfort of our homes, but 6 out of
1.3 billion (I’m aware it’s easy to point fingers with a beer in hand, so do
read on)?
There are innumerable responses explaining the
above question, the primary one being there’s no platform for us to exploit the
talent we may have in these fields, what with the sheer number of citizens, and
also the obvious fact that we are an academically oriented country.
But what if we could change things? We’re
struggling to step off the well-trodden paths of medicine and engineering. Aah
yes accountancy and law too. Perhaps sport is an area where such change is
difficult to implement, but all you musicians, music listeners, and music
well-wishers, welcome to the change.
Welcome musicians, to the perfect place for
you to showcase the awesome stuff you've come up with and are wondering how to
put out there on the low budget that is characteristic of our species.
Welcome music listeners, its time you stop
hunting for new music in weird, remote places, everything you want is right
here with us.
And welcome all you odd people who neither
create nor listen to music but still want something good to happen (if there
are any such), worry not, for this is the good thing you've been waiting for.
Welcome to Be the Change Radio. Here’s just a
little more about it:
Be the Change Radio is an Indian Indie web-radio
platform. Currently in its beta phase, it will evolve into a high utility
technology platform for musicians.
Mission
The mission of BC Radio is to portray the exotic diversity of India's
